Amendments
2014—Pub. L. 113–121, which directed amendment in the first sentence of chapter IV of title I of Public Law 98–63 (33 U.S.C. 569c) by inserting “, including expenses relating to uniforms, transportation, lodging, and the subsistence of those volunteers,” after “incidental expenses”, was executed by making the insertion in the first sentence of this section to reflect the probable intent of Congress.

Pub. L. 118–272, div. A, title I, § 1112, Jan. 4, 2025, 138 Stat. 3010, provided that: In General.—The Secretary [of the Army] may recognize a volunteer providing services under the heading ‘Department of Defense—Civil—Department of the Army—Corps of Engineers—Civil—General Provisions’ in chapter IV of title I of the Supplemental Appropriations Act, 1983 (33 U.S.C. 569c) through an award or other appropriate means, except that such award may not be in the form of a cash award. Process.—The Secretary shall establish a process to carry out subsection (a).”
