An Act

To promote economic growth, provide tailored regulatory relief, and enhance consumer protections, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short Title; Table of Contents.

Short Title.— This Act may be cited as the “Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act”.

SEC. 2. Definitions.

In this Act:
(1)
Appropriate federal banking agency; company; depository institution; depository institution holding company.— The terms “appropriate Federal banking agency”, “company”, “depository institution”, and “depository institution holding company” have the meanings given those terms in section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C. 1813).
(2)
Bank holding company.— The term “bank holding company” has the meaning given the term in section 2 of the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (12 U.S.C. 1841).
