# §7332. Risk management education


In consultation with the [Commodity](/usc/7/1a.md?p=9) Futures Trading [Commission](/usc/7/1a.md?p=8), the [Secretary](/usc/7/7202.md?p=13) shall provide such education in management of the financial risks inherent in the production and marketing of [agricultural commodities](/usc/7/5602.md?p=1) as the [Secretary](/usc/7/7202.md?p=13) considers appropriate. As part of such educational activities, the [Secretary](/usc/7/7202.md?p=13) may develop and implement programs to facilitate the participation of agricultural [producers](/usc/7/7202.md?p=12) in [commodity](/usc/7/1a.md?p=9) futures trading programs, forward contracting options, and insurance protection programs by assisting and training [producers](/usc/7/7202.md?p=12) in the usage of such programs. In implementing this [authority](/usc/7/2009aa.md?p=1), the [Secretary](/usc/7/7202.md?p=13) may use existing research and [extension](/usc/7/5801.md?p=b-5) [authorities](/usc/7/2009aa.md?p=1) and resources of the [Department](/usc/7/7202.md?p=7) of Agriculture.
