# §6408. Permissive terms

- (a) **In general—** Each [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) issued under this chapter may contain one or more of the terms and conditions described in this section.
- (b) **Advertising—** The [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) may provide for the establishment, issuance, effectuation, and administration of appropriate programs or projects for the [advertising](/usc/7/6402.md?p=1) of [fluid milk products](/usc/7/6402.md?p=3) and the use of [funds](/usc/7/4531.md?p=5) collected under this chapter for such programs or projects.
- (c) **Research and development—** The [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) may provide for establishing and carrying out [research](/usc/7/6402.md?p=6) projects and studies to support the [advertising](/usc/7/6402.md?p=1) efforts for [fluid milk products](/usc/7/6402.md?p=3), and the use of [funds](/usc/7/4531.md?p=5) collected under the [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) for such projects and studies.
- (d) **Reserve funds—** The [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) may provide [authority](/usc/7/2009aa.md?p=1) to accumulate reserve [funds](/usc/7/4531.md?p=5) from assessments collected pursuant to the [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10), to permit an effective and continuous [coordinated program](/usc/7/5302.md?p=2) of [research](/usc/7/6402.md?p=6) and [advertising](/usc/7/6402.md?p=1) in years when the assessment income may be reduced, except that the total reserve [fund](/usc/7/4531.md?p=5) may not exceed 25 percent of the amount budgeted for the operation in the current fiscal year of the [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10).
- (e) **Other terms—** The [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) may contain such other terms and conditions incidental to and not inconsistent with the terms and conditions specified in this chapter as are necessary to effectuate the other provisions of the [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10).
