# §499j. Orders; effective date; continuance in force; suspension, modification and setting aside; penalty


Any [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) of the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) under this chapter other than an [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) for the payment of money shall take effect within such reasonable time, not less than ten days, as is prescribed in the [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10), and shall continue in force until his further [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10), or for a specified period of time, accordingly as it is prescribed in the [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10), unless such [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) is suspended, modified, or set aside by the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) or is suspended, modified, or set aside by a court of competent jurisdiction. Any such [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) of the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2), if regularly made, shall be final, unless before the date prescribed for its taking effect application is made to a court of competent jurisdiction by the [commission merchant](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-5), dealer, or [broker](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-7) against whom such [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) is directed to have such [order](/usc/7/2902.md?p=10) set aside or its enforcement, operation, or execution suspended or restrained.
