# §4205. Farmland resource information

- (a) The [Secretary](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-5), through existing agencies or interagency groups, and in cooperation with the cooperative [extension](/usc/7/5801.md?p=b-5) services of the [States](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-2), shall design and implement educational programs and materials emphasizing the importance of productive [farmland](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-1) to the Nation’s well-being and distribute educational materials through communications media, schools, groups, and other Federal agencies.
- (b) The [Secretary](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-5) shall designate one or more [farmland](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-1) information centers to serve as central depositories and distribution points for information on [farmland](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-1) issues, policies, programs, technical principles, and innovative actions or proposals by local and [State](/usc/7/4201.md?p=c-2) governments.
