# §207. Persons affected by suspension of commercial intercourse


The provisions of this chapter in relation to commercial intercourse shall apply to all commercial intercourse by and between [persons](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) residing or being within districts within the lines of national military occupation in the [States](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) or parts of [States](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) declared in insurrection, whether with each other or with [persons](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) residing or being within districts declared in insurrection and not within those lines; and all [persons](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) within the [United States](/usc/50/47f.md?p=d), not native or naturalized citizens thereof, shall be subject to the same prohibitions, in all commercial intercourse with inhabitants of [States](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) or parts of [States](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) declared in insurrection, as citizens of [States](/usc/50/1841.md?p=1) not declared to be in insurrection.
