# §182. Duties, penalties, benefits, and privileges of subchapter I applicable


The duties, requirements, penalties, benefits, and privileges prescribed and established by the provisions of subchapter I of this chapter except [section 153 of this title](/usc/45/153.md) shall apply to said [carriers](/usc/45/151.md) by air and their [employees](/usc/45/151.md) in the same manner and to the same extent as though such [carriers](/usc/45/151.md) and their [employees](/usc/45/151.md) were specifically included within the definition of “[carrier](/usc/45/151.md)” and “[employee](/usc/45/151.md)”, respectively, in [section 151 of this title](/usc/45/151.md).
