# §10494. Applications


A law enforcement agency or organization desiring to receive a grant under this subchapter shall submit to the [Attorney General](/usc/34/10251.md?p=a-15) an application at such time, in such manner, and containing or accompanied by such information as the [Attorney General](/usc/34/10251.md?p=a-15) may reasonably require. Such application shall—

- (1) certify that the law enforcement agency shall match all Federal funds with an equal amount of cash or in-kind goods or services from other non-Federal sources;
- (2) include a statement from the highest ranking law enforcement official from the [State](/usc/34/10105.md) or locality or from the highest ranking official from the organization applying for the grant that attests to the need and intended use of services to be provided with grant funds; and
- (3) assure that the [Attorney General](/usc/34/10251.md?p=a-15) or the Comptroller General of the United States shall have access to all records related to the receipt and use of grant funds received under this subchapter.
