# §6035. United States opposition to termination of suspension of Cuban Government from participation in Organization of American States


The President should instruct the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States to oppose and vote against any termination of the suspension of the [Cuban Government](/usc/22/6023.md?p=5-A) from participation in the Organization until the President determines under [section 6063(c)(3) of this title](/usc/22/6063.md?p=c-3) that a [democratically elected government in Cuba](/usc/22/6023.md?p=6) is in power.
