# §4705. Authority to enter into agreements


The President may enter into [agreements](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=7) with [foreign](/usc/22/3146.md?p=1) governments in furtherance of the purposes of this chapter. Such [agreements](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=7) may provide for the creation or continuation of binational or multinational educational and cultural [foundations](/usc/22/10601.md?p=6) and [commissions](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=2) for the purposes of administering [programs](/usc/22/3383.md?p=6) under this chapter.
