# §4701. Statement of purpose


The purpose of this chapter is to establish an undergraduate scholarship [program](/usc/22/3383.md?p=6) designed to bring students of limited financial means from developing countries to the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) for study at [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) institutions of higher education.
