# §283aa. Acceptance of membership


The President is hereby authorized to accept membership for the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) in the Inter-American Investment [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) (hereinafter in this subchapter referred to as the “[Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6)”) provided for by the [agreement](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=7) establishing the [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) (hereinafter in this subchapter referred to as the “[agreement](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=7)”) deposited in the archives of the Inter-American Development Bank.
