# §282f. Jurisdiction and venue of actions


For the purpose of any action which may be brought within the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) or its Territories or possessions by or against the [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) in accordance with the Articles of [Agreement](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=7) of the [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6), the [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) shall be deemed to be an inhabitant of the Federal judicial district in which its principal [office](/usc/22/2214a.md?p=9) in the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) is located, and any such action at law or in equity to which the [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) shall be a party shall be deemed to arise under the laws of the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1), and the district courts of the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) shall have original jurisdiction of any such action. When the [Corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) is a defendant in any such action, it may, at any time before the trial thereof, remove such action from a State court into the district court of the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) for the proper district by following the procedure for removal of causes otherwise provided by law.
