# §280a. Definitions


When used in this subchapter—

- (1) the term “Secretary” means the Secretary of State;
- (2) the term “Government agency” means any department, independent establishment, or other agency of the Government of the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1), or any [corporation](/usc/22/7702.md?p=6) wholly owned by the Government of the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1); and
- (3) the term “Commission” means the South Pacific Commission.
