# §2220d. Funds for programs and activities

- (a) **Funds available under section 2151a of this title unaffected by other provisions—** The President is authorized to use any of the [funds](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=9) hereafter made available under [section 2151a of this title](/usc/22/2151a.md) to carry out the purposes of this subpart. [Funds](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=9) made available for such purposes may be used without regard to the provisions of sections [2151h(b)](/usc/22/2151h.md) and [2151t(d)](/usc/22/2151t.md?p=d) of this title.
- (b) **Foreign currencies—** [Foreign](/usc/22/3146.md?p=1) currencies owned by the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) and determined by the [Secretary](/usc/22/277d–43.md?p=5) of the Treasury to be excess to the needs of the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) shall be used to the maximum extent possible in lieu of dollars in carrying out the provisions of this subpart.
- (c) **Other authorizations—** Assistance authorized under this subpart shall be in addition to any allotments or grants that may be made under other authorizations.
- (d) **Disclosure of funds to Administrator; annual report—** [Universities](/usc/22/2220a.md?p=d) may accept and expend [funds](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=9) from other sources, public and private, in order to carry out the purposes of this subpart. All such [funds](/usc/22/2431a.md?p=9), both prospective and inhand, shall be periodically disclosed to the [Administrator](/usc/22/2220a.md?p=e) as he shall by regulation require, but no less often than in an [annual report](/usc/22/6402.md?p=2).
