# §1447. Books and materials


The [Secretary](/usc/22/1433.md?p=1) is authorized to provide for interchanges between the [United States](/usc/22/1395.md?p=a-1) and other countries of books and periodicals, including government publications, for the translation of such writings, and for the preparation, distribution, and interchange of other educational materials.
