# §5607. Member security: funding for improvements

- (a) The [Sergeant at Arms](/usc/2/6621.md?p=1) of the House of Representatives may use [funds](/usc/2/1102.md?p=3) made available for providing security for the residences of Members of the House to make essential security improvements if the improvements are included in a [category](/usc/2/900.md?p=c-4-F) established and updated as necessary by the [Sergeant at Arms](/usc/2/6621.md?p=1) and approved and regulated by the Committee on House Administration.
- (b) This section shall apply with respect to [funds](/usc/2/1102.md?p=3) made available for fiscal year 2026 and each succeeding fiscal year.
