# §4908. Call for information


Within one month after October 23, 1992, the [Secretary](/usc/16/4903.md?p=6) shall issue a call for information on the wild bird [conservation](/usc/16/6456.md?p=2) [program](/usc/16/460ss–6.md?p=1) of each country that exports [exotic birds](/usc/16/4903.md?p=2), by—

- (1) publishing a notice in the Federal Register requesting submission of such information to the [Secretary](/usc/16/4903.md?p=6) by all interested [persons](/usc/16/4903.md?p=4); and
- (2) submitting a written request for such information through the Secretary of State to each country that exports [exotic birds](/usc/16/4903.md?p=2).
