# §346b. Consolidation of Zion National Park and Zion National Monument


For the purpose of combining Zion [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) and Zion National Monument, Utah, in a single [National park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) [unit](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4), in the interest of efficient administration and to [preserve](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=7) adequately the features thereof, Zion [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) on and after July 11, 1956, shall comprise the present [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) of the [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) and the present [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) of the Zion National Monument: Provided, That the enactment of [sections 346b to 346d](/usc/16/346b..346d.md) of this title shall not affect adversely any valid rights or privileges heretofore existing within the [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) hereby established as the Zion [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5).


# §346c. Administration


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior is authorized to administer Zion [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) as hereby established in accordance with his authority over the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) heretofore granted by the Congress and in accordance with the general laws governing [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) of the [national park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) [system](/usc/16/668ee.md?p=14).


# §346d. Use of funds


All [funds](/usc/16/1421h.md?p=2) heretofore made available for purposes of Zion [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) and Zion National Monument may be used for purposes of Zion [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5) as established by [sections 346b to 346d](/usc/16/346b..346d.md) of this title.
