# §3324. Monitoring and evaluation of enhancement projects


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1), in cooperation with the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Commerce, shall establish, in consultation with the [State](/usc/16/6456.md?p=2) of Washington, the [State](/usc/16/6456.md?p=2) of Oregon, and the [appropriate tribal coordinating body](/usc/16/3302.md?p=1), a [system](/usc/16/668ee.md?p=14) to monitor and evaluate on a continuing basis all [enhancement](/usc/16/3302.md?p=8) [projects](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-4) for which [funds](/usc/16/1421h.md?p=2) have been distributed under this subchapter, and may discontinue or suspend distribution of all or part of the [funds](/usc/16/1421h.md?p=2) if any [project](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-4) is not being carried out in a manner consistent with the comprehensive [enhancement](/usc/16/3302.md?p=8) plan concerned and this chapter. Each recipient of a grant under this subchapter shall make available to the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) and to the Comptroller General of the United States for purposes of audit and examination, any book, document, paper, and record that is pertinent to the [funds](/usc/16/1421h.md?p=2) received under the grant.
