# §115. Leases and permits; prehistoric ruins not included


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior may, upon terms and conditions to be fixed by him, grant leases and permits for the use of the land or development of the [resources](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=8) thereof, in the Mesa Verde [National Park](/usc/16/410hhh–1.md?p=5), and the [funds](/usc/16/1421h.md?p=2) derived therefrom shall be covered into the Treasury of the United States. Such leases or grants shall not include any of the prehistoric ruins in said [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) or exclude the public from free or convenient access thereto.
