# §42. Territorial application


The provisions of all Acts of Congress relating to [national banks](/usc/12/221a.md?p=a) shall apply in the several [States](/usc/12/1707.md?p=d), the District of Columbia, the several Territories and possessions of the United States, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
