# §884.3200. Cervical drain.

- (a) **Identification.** A cervical drain is a device designed to provide an exit channel for draining discharge from the cervix after pelvic surgery.
- (b) **Classification.** Class II (special controls). The device is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in [subpart E of part 807](/cfr/21/part807-subpartE.md) of this chapter subject to the limitations in [§ 884.9](/cfr/21/884.9.md).
